From reviewing the instructions, you’ll be glad to hear that it seems relatively straightforward. I’d even hazard a guess that a supervised child could nearly assemble it by themselves! I also appreciate that they provide a written description to accompany the images as sometimes this is omitted, and it can make installation slightly more challenging to understand when you’re trying to just interpret what’s happening in a visual aid.
Thankfully, the tools required to assemble this are few and should be household staples for most people:

It can also fit water bottles; you just need to be careful that your water bottle isn’t too wide to slot into it.
If you fancy a bit of extra storage, you can invest in some storage accessories. Plastic storage bins are just one example, and these can be affixed to the riser pole for neat storage of books, binders, pencil cases, stationary, and whatever other paraphernalia you need (or try to smuggle in and hide without your teacher or colleagues noticing hehe). These bins can be installed at various heights on the desk column depending on your preferred location.
There’s also a backpack hook which neatly stores schoolbags, laptop bags, or even handbags. It eliminates the risk of these creating clutter around your area or worse still, posing a trip hazard.
The pencil tray is also another useful slot that is positioned beside the tablet slot and cup holder. It could comfortably hold pencils, markers or pens stacked. You could also fit erasers, sharpeners or rulers in here instead if that’s the type of stationary that you use most often.
Indeed, you could probably repurpose the tablet slot, pencil tray and maybe even the cup holder if you had other materials that you want to locate in there instead. For instance, I would probably be more inclined to use the tablet slot for holding light documents.

The Ergotron LearnFit sit stand desk is a quality product that also offers features to promote ergonomics, comfort and functionality. I can see how, despite being targeted for the classroom, it would be a practical asset for virtually any work environment. The nifty storage compartments for your gadgets, pencils and cup/water bottle are simple, yet effective features that enable you to work in a neat and more efficient manner.
There are not that many mobile desks that can cater for a child and follow them right up to teenage and adulthood. Furthermore, there’s probably none that will have a massive 10-year warranty to guarantee that the desk will feature that long in your life or that of your family or colleague’s life. It’s certainly a testament to the credibility and durability of the product.
There are only 2 potential considerations that I think people should bear in mind if considering this mobile desk. Firstly, the maximum weight restriction may be prohibitive to those of you with heavy equipment, or if you have a tendency to lean on the work surface and it could exceed the weight limit.
Secondly, the size of the work surface could be more than adequate for students and adults if you don’t require a large work area. However, if you do require or desire plenty of space, it would be advisable to measure the dimensions of the work surface and mark it out on a table to evaluate if it would be sufficient for you and your tasks.
Besides that, it’s without a doubt, an impressive, durable unit which would be a great asset to any home or work area.
